Why can't I transfer a domain?
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is an internationally organized, non-profit corporation that has responsibility for Internet Protocol (IP) address space allocation, protocol identifier assignment, generic (gTLD) and country code (ccTLD) Top-Level Domain name system management, and root server system management functions.
ICANN regulations restrict the transfer of a domain name to another registrar within the first 60 days of ownership. http://www.icann.org/transfers/text.htm#TransferDomain
If you make any change to the contact information for a domain name, you will not be able to transfer it to another domain registrar for 60 days from that date.
